Wedding in Pefkos continued....

Hi All,

I hope you had a good weekend! At last the sun is shining after a freeeeezing week, seriously one of the coldest I EVER remember in Greece!

We are continuing with the wedding started on Friday....

  We kept the set up very "Greeky", adding shells, candles, white linens, the view is spectacular as you can see!

  For the ceremony set up, we added traditonal taverna wooden chairs, basil plants in buckets, linens on the gazebo, each chair had a starfish tied to it with raffia!

I believe the setting is simply ideal for a small wedding, exclusivity guaranteed, amazing food and the most fabulous view on the island, I don't see what more you could ask for!

Today I am featuring a wedding we organised in late September on Rhodes! It was a beautiful, beautiful warm day, with a little breeze, ideal weather for a wedding next to the sea!

The bride & groom were from England, they have two adorable children and brought a group of friends and family, who were all determined to have a good time! And that is just what they did....

I think Christos may be my current favourite designer, I love how his dresses reflect a modern, Grecian feel!!! I love his mint gown with the gold belt, that is simply divine, I could see a cool chick wearing that to her destination wedding! I would gladly wear to any summer party, wedding, event

Honeymoon Idea, the Old Markets in Symi

Hi all,

I just have to tell you about this amazing boutique hotel in Symi that I had the pleasure of staying at for my one year wedding anniversary last September!

The minute we set foot on the island, the owner was there to greet us, help us with our bags, make us feel at home! Once we had checked in he recommended some beaches for us to visit and lent us a beach bag and towel each....it's the little things that make all the difference!

So after arriving back at the hotel, showering and changing for dinner (reservations made for us in a recommended restaurant which was AMAZING), we were ushered up to the roof deck for a glass of champagne. Throughout our couple of glasses small nibbles were brought to us and the other guests as a complimentary extra, the view from that deck is simply breathtaking, I seriously could not imagine a more perfect setting.

Breakfast the next morning continued with the theme, eggs cooked to your request, everything is personalised and about the customer, there are no rules or set in stone!!! I think this is what it's all about when you're on holiday now, you want to relax and be taken care of and this is definitely what this boutique hotel is all about!

I liked all the rooms, obviously if you're on your honeymoon the suite is the top recommendation!

 The building was originally the market of Symi and was renovated to become the stylish hotel that it is today which opened in the summer of 2011!

Happy New Year, I maintain it is lucky 13 and hope it is for all of you out there!!!!

Any Christmas engagements?? Do tell, I love to hear about them!

I am working on a major re haul of my website, overall look and services, so news on this in the coming weeks (or months knowing the Greeks)!

I am also happy to report that I have a fair number of exciting new weddings for the summer, two of which are in brand new locations that I haven't worked in before, so am looking forward to a fun filled wedding season!

This blog is back in business and look out for some new features, honeymoon hotels (that I have been to), fashion and other fun bits of information!
