Frothy Gowns fit for a princess!!!

I have to say that over the last year or so, frothy, flouncy, volouminous gowns have grown on me! Now whether or not they are fit for a beach wedding, well that's down to the style of the wedding and how formal you choose for your event to be, however I have to say, it looks pretty cool in the pictures!!!!

Wedding Shoes, in nude...

I love shoes, I love weddings, so you can imagine how much I adoore a nice wedding shoe! Especially important when wearing a simple, destination or sheath type dress as it's much more likely they will be seen by all throughout the day!

Nude is a simple solution to those wanting to stay away from white or cream (I HATE white sating pointy shoes) but not in your face like coloured shoes are and totally wearable afterwards!!! Definitely a winner and a very chic solution to what to wear on your feet to your wedding!

Fabulous Wedding Gown Details...

Gowns can be so similiar and so unique, it really is up to each bride which way she wants to go!!

Personally I am really against the corset look that is very often seen in Greece and love the "less is more" look, although a little flounce, lace and beading that is well done, can make all the difference!



What detail does your gown have that sets it apart from normal? What is your favourite feature on a dress?

One for the boys...

I don't really talk about men on my blog, in this case...the groom, so today I wanted to inspire all those looking for men's outfits for their Greek or destination wedding!

Remember to keep fabrics lightweight, between June-September, do not go formal in black unless it's an evening wedding, in Greece this means after 20.00 in the evening, as your groom will really suffer. If you are going for a less formal affair, definitely a linen suit, or just a shirt and trousers are perfectly acceptable, although this doesn't mean sacrificing all style, as illustrated on the board below:

Candle Delight...

I absolutely adore candlelight!!! It's beautiful, romantic, easy to put together! The rule here is more is more, I don't really think you can over do candles!!!



Yes I do believe you can have an all candle wedding!! Although as with the petals in the previous post, the wind could create a big problem. If you are counting on candlelight at your wedding, consider investing in LED candles rather than hoping for no wind on the Greek Isles!!!

Petals galore

I love decorating with petals, it's cute, simple, easy, adds colour to the event and can be quite modern! Of course with destination weddings there are drawbacks, wind being a major factor to consider, as any intricate details may be blown away in one gust of wind!

However, creating make shift aisles out of petals on beaches, can be very simple and hugely cost effective!

Of course I love white best, I think it looks so chic, but color can be cool, especially yellow!!!

Wedding Cake Ideas

As a general concept, I am seeing the wedding cakes are going out of fashion, most of my clients are actually looking for alternatives to the "traditional" style cake, especially as it's quite a heavy dessert to serve for a destination wedding!

I would definitely say that if you're going to do the cake, then do it well!
