This chart completely fascinates me, it opens up so many topics of conversation on wedding budgets!!!
American weddings are beautiful, I mean really beautiful, the attention to detail is staggering, the size of the wedding parties, the clothes, the venues, the flowers, the photography.....
And then looking at diverse cultures, Canadian's so close to the US, yet so different, so low key in comparison, you can just feel the difference walking down the street.
And Europe, well, Europe consists of such a diverse group of countries, each with very different traditions and ideas about wedding that you can't really generalise, I am fascinated that Britain spends a third of the Spaniards on weddings, I would never have thought, although the Meditteranean countries do tend to host larger weddings and families are more involved with the traditions than in the UK.
China is just so vast and they definitely use the USA as their example, so I'm not surprised at all!
But really, what are your views on spending for your wedding? Is it a once in a lifetime event that will mark the beginning of a life together, create memories that you will share with friends and family for years to come? Does the budget really make a difference?
